Home/Field Based - Covering Midlands / North of England - Regular Travel to London

Role overview:

Responsible for the driving the business development activities of accounts which are of strategic importance by nature of their size, market position or complexity. You will establish clear business development strategies and detailed broker development and sales plans for their accounts.

Core duties will include:

Developing detailed business development and sales plans for their nominated accounts in such a way as to ensure achievement of overall sales plan

Working with the leaders of the Sales team and the Business Development Executives and Associates to ensure that all activities with our large and multi-site partners are properly co-ordinated and consistent.

Overseeing the establishment of detailed business plans with all key brokers and driving the management of actual performance

Working with the Marketing function, create and execute promotional activities, product launches, marketing campaigns and other activities focused on driving business development

Delivery of annually agreed income and commission targets with a clear focus on profitability aligned to overall business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills & attributes:

Detailed knowledge the Motor Insurance Market to include knowledge of Policy Wordings

Extensive experience and knowledge in developing and executing business development strategies and sales campaigns.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of the UK broker market including key financial models, methods of trading, customer segmentation and economic influencers

Strategic thinker, who is able to contribute to the commercial and strategic management of a complex business

Extremely strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

Clear evidence of the ability to deliver sales targets

Highly articulate and numerate

Very strong presentation skills
