Description:

In conjunction with continued expansion, my client is seeking to recruit skilled claims investigators to work within the Special Investigation Unit.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of suspected fraudulent motor claims incorporating Indemnity investigations, liability negotiations, personal Injury claims handling and fraud identification. There will also be a smaller concentration of public and employer’s liability claims.

Core duties will include:

Management of own caseload of suspicious claims in line with the companies claims philosophy.

Adherence to all Data Protection and National Intelligence Model principles in relation to sensitive/personal data.

Assessing reports and key data received from various sources.

Understand and follow agreed processes to minimise and prevent fraud as much as possible.

Appointment of external partners including panel solicitors, enquiry agents, engineers and loss adjusters whilst maintaining close control of cases referred on.

Review and control of cases which have been litigated by claimant representatives to equitable conclusion.

Giving best advice and highest level of customer service, ensuring all complaints are dealt with promptly and fairly.

The ideal candidate will have the following key skills and attributes:

A sound knowledge of modern claims practice and the MOJ protocols, Indemnity checking procedures, current case law and assessment of personal injury valuation and negotiations

Good academic qualifications.

An understanding of external bodies such as the Insurance Fraud Bureau and IFED

A pro-active approach to claims settlement and have strong communication, decision making and negotiation skills with the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision. Excellent customer service and computer literacy skills are also expected.

The position will incorporate a 3 month probationary period where after the company will support any employee interested in undertaking CII studies at whatever level.

All appropriate in house training will be provided to the successful candidate in addition to support with professional qualifications.
