Job Description

Location Peterborough

Purpose of the Job:

To assist the Machine Operator in all aspects of product fulfilment and to carry out all instructions accordingly.

Main Duties:

To load feeders, hoppers and stackers efficiently to maintain machine running speeds

To mail sort and bag or tray off correctly postage documents and other products

To palletize stocks and products as and when required

To print off and affix the correct labels for Royal Mail and other posters

To check the format of the packs throughout the run and immediately alert the Machine Operator as and when issues occur

To check all component codes match the relevant SEP

To perform tap tests and other Quality Control processes as instructed, including bag and bundle weight checks to prevent postage failures

Clean and tidy the working area, and ensure the machine in cleared down at the end of each job

Collate and count any stock overs in readiness for re booking back into the warehouse

To be prepared to work in any other area of the business as directed and when necessary

Adhere to all H & S directives and regulations whilst working

To carry out all reasonable instructions in a timely and efficient manner without debate at all times

Attend training courses and information briefings when requested to do so
