Job Title: Commercial Combined Underwriter

Job Description

Job Purpose:

Underwriting (a delegated binding authority) for Commercial Combined, Property Owners & Landlords risks.

Required Tasks:

Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, insurers and other business partners

Comply with FSA regulations

Adhere to agreed internal/external underwriting authorities

Skills

Minimum three years liability experience (ideally with an insurance company background) but broker experience would be considered.

Proactive approach to developing profitable broker relationships

Proficient in MS Office and with aptitude to use other MS Windows-based software

Communication skills – able to communicate to people with various levels of knowledge, over the telephone and in writing

Planning, organisational and time management skills

Qualifications

Relevant insurance qualifications an advantage

Educated to a satisfactory GCSE level

Technical Experience

Commercial Combined insurance and Property Owners knowledge

Mainly office based role, although will involve visiting brokers and or insurers.

Develop personal relationship with individuals within brokers

Discuss individual risks with broker and provide terms
