Job Description
Summary:
The role involves the handling of an individual claims allocation providing excellent broker and customer service throughout. Claims to include policyholder’s vehicle or property damage as a result of an RTA, fire, theft and vandalism and indemnity claims.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing an individual caseload including diary management
Confirming the indemnity and validity of a claim
Liaising with engineers and repairers to ensure appropriate repairs are completed within a reasonable timeframe
Ensure awareness of Treating Customers Fairly and how customers are managed
Prioritising incoming post and actioning as required
Authorising courtesy vehicles where necessary
Taking telephone enquiries from policyholders, brokers and other suppliers
Overseeing the investigation of theft claims
Experience:
Knowledge of the policies and policy wordings
Understanding of the claims process and the principal of indemnity
Preferably will have previous claims handling experience or an insurance background
Skills/Personal Qualities:
Ability to work well in a team
Understanding and delivery of customer service
A flexible approach
Attention to detail
Good telephone manner
A good attitude with the desire to learn
