Job Description
The key responsibility of the role is the protection of site employees and assets.
The general routine of duties will include;
Working in an environment controlling the entry and exit of transport vehicles and visitors, Booking vehicles in and out and able to note clear, concise log and documentation entries.
Undertaking traffic control and deal with parking issues.
Completing random vehicle and employee checks as directed.
Undertake effective and efficient internal and external patrols of the project, being aware of and dealing with any security risks, as part of the planned tour procedure.
May be required to perform reception duties to include, Monitoring of CCTV equipment, receiving/making telephone calls (including from alarm and monitoring companies). Act responsible and professional as the initial contact visitors have when attending the site.
Deal effectively and efficiently with enquiries.
Checking and monitoring of basic health and safety issues.
Candidates may be called upon to travel to other local sites.
Competancies:
Must have a valid SIA licence.
Must have a solid, traceable work history.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate that they are flexible and can work as part of a dedicated team.
Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Be of smart appearance, generally fit and in good health.
Clearly communicate requests for emergency assistance to emergency services.
Be enthusiastic and committed to providing a high level of service as part of a Security team. The role involves working 12 hour shifts on a rota basis, covering days, nights and Weekends.
Customer focused at all times.
Maintain a sense of calm and control in crisis situations.
Use initiative to possible situations, ability to think on their feet.
Capable of working on tasks in individual and team environments.
Desirable:
Hold Current First Aid at Work Certificate
Hold Basic Health and Safety Qualifications
Computer literate
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
