To act as the principal point of day to day liaison between the UK division and the actuarial teams. To assist the Head of Pricing in providing reserving and rating work as required to service the demands for actuarial services within the UK division.

MAIN DUTIES

•Liaison with underwriting, finance, claims, MI and IS departments on actuarial matters related to the UK division of a major global general/non life insurer.
•Personal and commercial lines pricing for UK Division
•Support on reserving for the UK division
•Other actuarial support as required for the UK division

TECHNICAL SKILLS

The following skills are essential:
•SAS or SPSS or similar analytical database tools
•EMBLEM or Pretium or similar Generalised Linear Modelling software
•RESQ or similar software

The following skills are desirable:
•SAS or SPSS or similar analytical database tools
•RESQ or similar software

The following skills would be useful but are not essential:
•VBA for Excel
•VBA for Access

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION:

Degree in a numerate subject (Maths, Science, Economics, Finance etc) 2i or better

Maths A Level: Grade A
