My Market leading Insurance client has a unique, challenging and rewarding requirement for a Sales & Marketing executive to join their team

Responsibilities:

You will lead the sales function in the team, meeting new business targets for the business by:

Executing the sales plan that you have created, to produce sufficient enquiry numbers within target sectors (broker channel, direct customers, introducers / affiliates) which will translate into our top line premium budget being met.

Networking / exhibiting at industry events, investigating new ways of sourcing business which may involve a 3rd party telesales strategy. You will then work with the support of the underwriting team to maximise conversion on submitted enquiries.

Identifying new distribution partners within target areas and maximising the opportunity.

Leading the development of a new area of business in partnership with the sales team

Being the face of the company for regional offices to assist distributing products throughout the company’s 600+ UK brokers.

You will also represent the company externally within the industry, attending and speaking at industry conferences, exhibitions and networking events.

Assist the Underwriting Manager in developing the sales skills of the underwriting team and ensuring the marketing plan is aligned with our strategy.

Lead on CRM training/use within the team.

Provide occasional support to the team in retaining key renewals.

Key requirements for this role

Solid experience of sourcing new SME business either in a general insurance broking sales role or event industry sales role (venues or event organisers).

Ability to demonstrate previous sales successes, meeting challenging targets and finding new sales areas to access through innovation.

Excellent networking and communication skills.

Graduate level education preferred.

Flexibility – you will need to be able to based in Essex once a week, with flexibility to undertake frequent UK and European travel as required (please note that for the first two to three months, the role will be based in Essex full time for training).

Excellent remuneration package, including car allowance for the successful candidate.
