Job Title: Deputy Agency Manager

Job Description

Purpose:

To support the management of the Agency department and functions. To provide business, statistical and management support to broker relationship management team. To contribute to the setting of Agency procedures and ensuring Agency functions are completed. To support the Agency Manager and the Head of Distribution and Broker Management with broker analysis and reporting. To work with other business areas to ensure compliance with terms of business.

Principle Objectives:

To support the overall management of the Agency function within.

To contribute to the production and implementation of an agreed Agency plan which is clearly aligned to our wider business strategy and consistent with our Distribution Strategy

To support the Agency Manager in leading and managing the Agency team with a clear focus on continuous development of team members through the development and execution of structured training programmes

To help manage the appointment process for new agents including assessing and making recommendation on new applications.

Manage changes to existing agents.

To help manage business support, statistics and other reports for the relationship management team in collaboration with the MI function

Manage Agency telemarketing activity, both internally and with third party organisations.

To help manage and contribute to the broker categorisation process.

Work with other parts of the business to ensure brokers’ conduct of business is adequately managed.

To help the management of Agency and certain systems.

To help ensure FSA and requirements on Agency functions are complied with.

Role requirements:

Preferably ACII and/or other relevant professional qualifications

Significant relevant experience in the insurance industry

Excellent working knowledge of the insurance market and regulatory requirements

Proven track record of success

Strong ability to direct and manage people

Personal Qualities:

Absolute focus on achieving results

Highly organised

Strong ability to lead and motivate a team of people

First class communication skills
