Job Title: Reinsurance Accounts Assistant (Temporary)


Job Description

The position will have responsibility for administration and support of the Company Accountant and team.
 
Key responsibilities of the role include
 
Pre-processing review of reinsurance / insurance risk information
Proportional treaty and premium adjustment processing
Weekly listing of missing slips including monitoring and escalation
Submission of documents on insurance market systems including Brokasure. Knowledge of A&S and ECF preferred
 
Other duties will include
 
Document scanning
 
Daily and weekly cash information
Weekly bordereau information
Monthly bordereaux information
Periodic treaty accounts (including attachment to software application)
Payment Processing
 
Drawing cheques
Depositing cheques at bank
Maintenance of spreadsheet logs for signing messages
Matching of signing messages in software application
Creation of paper files for claims and treaty files
 
Archiving
 
Core Competencies: Knowledge and Skill Level Required
Insurance experience, especially in reinsurance
Proportional Treaty Processing experience
Excel
Office experience
Admin experience
Accuracy and efficiency
