Job Description
This is a unique and challenging role and will offer the successful candidate a rewarding position with a unique profile within my market-leading clients business.
You will lead the sales function in the events team, meeting new business targets for the business by:
• Generating direct new business enquiries from event organisers in target sectors (networking/exhibiting at industry events, leveraging our existing relationships and B2B telesales etc)

• Generating direct new business enquiries from event organisers in target sectors (networking/exhibiting at industry events, leveraging our existing relationships and B2B telesales etc)
• Identifying new distribution partners using a consultative sales approach, to set up and then hand over the relationship to an account manager within the team.
• Alongside the underwriting team, you may assume responsibility product distribution throughout regional offices

Other responsibilities
• Represent my client externally within the events industry, attending and speaking at industry conferences, exhibitions and networking events.
• Manage relationship with key industry associations.
• In partnership with marketing team you will develop and execute the marketing plan across broker, direct and online channels, ensuring that it remains aligned with our underwriting strategy.
• Assist the underwriting manager in developing the sales skills of the underwriting team
• Lead on CRM training/use within the events team
• Provide occasional support to the team in retaining key renewals

Key Requirements:
• Significant experience of driving B2B sales.
• Drive, self motivation and determination to achieve results in a demanding sales environment and without close supervision..
• Graduate level education
• Ability to demonstrate previous sales successes
• Excellent networking and communication skills.
• Experience of the events industry desirable.
• Flexible to undertake UK and European travel.
• Full driving licence.
