Job Description

Working for a leading commodities trader, we are looking for a 1st Class Graduate for a Trainee Oil Insurance Coordinator position. This role has come about as the previous incumbent has rapidly progressed their career within the business, so progression is assured if you can go in work hard and make the right impression.

Key responsibilities within this role include the following…

Making declaration to insurers for exposures on Marine transits for Crude and Oil Products.

Making declaration to insurers of our products in various storage locations.

Making declarations of products produced by our industrial assets.

Processing payment of insurance invoices.

Preparing certificates of insurance upon request.

Making declarations to insurers for charterers legal liability.

Reviewing existing CLL (charterers legal liability) claims.

Preparing and submitting cargo shortage claims to the insurance market.

Assisting other members in the department when the need arises.

You will be expected to provide service excellence at all times, by giving the highest priority to other’s needs/satisfaction whether internal or external, delivering every time to high standards – time, quality, efficiency and value.

Applicants should be confident, possess excellent communication skills, be well organised, have excellent attention to detail

Previous experience or understanding of insurance or the commodity markets is an advantage but not at all essential.
