Job Title: System Accountant

Job Description

Purpose of the Job:

The System Accountant will be responsible for the maintenance of the business budgeting and forecasting models as well as the creation and maintenance or development of ad-hoc financial models required to asses and analyse financial and business/production activity throughout the business.

Main Duties:

· The maintenance of the budget and forecast models.

· The accurate and timely maintenance of the Sales data, Cost of Sales data and Operating costs within the financial models.

· The building and maintenance or development of ad-hoc financial models in response to requests from the Financial Analyst or seniors within the Finance team and the business.

· Accurate reporting from the financial models, including the creation and delivery of reports based on the data held within these models maintained by the Forecast, Planning and Analysis function and other systems used by the Finance Team.

Key Skills and Behaviours:

· Must have a level of experience and exposure to financial modelling.

· Ideally AAT, or equivalent trained (not necessarily fully qualified)

· Must have had some formal financial training

· Must be able to use Microsoft Office products to an advanced level (Excel particularly).

· Must be able to understand and use the Contributor modelling product used by the business to maintain the Budget and Forecast models

· Self managed and highly motivated.

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

· An understanding of transactional fulfilment industry.

· Ability to adapt to change in technologies, working practices and working procedures.

· Candidates from a manufacturing background will be particularly well-suited.
