Job Description
To ensure that all sales opportunities are effectively managed from receipt of enquiry/tender documentation, through preparation and delivery of sales estimates/tender returns.
The department is required to support the needs of sales teams whilst maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Estimator Role:
Responsible for the day to day management of customer enquiry/tenders from initial receipt through to enquiry/tender return.

Identify potential business opportunities and provide risk analysis.
Preparation of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and mechanical services tenders/sales quotations including maintenance of tender return documentation
Understanding and interpretation of enquiries/tenders, drawings and specifications.
Sourcing and selection of sub contractor and supplier quotations.
Calculation of cost of deliverables, site management and preliminary costs.
Provide pre and post contract review.
Support Sales Director with the management of key accounts and development of new customers.
An ambassador to the company, working with clients, suppliers/subcontractors, consultants and stakeholders to assist the development of the business.
Support Sales Director throughout pre award contract negotiations process.
Analyse and provide feedback as directed by the Sales Director.
The above is a list of key responsibilities of the role. The candidate will be expected undertake other duties within their capability as required by the management.
The Candidate
An enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive individual with an established and proven background within HVAC and Mechanical building services industry.
Working within a similar role for a small to medium sized subcontractor for at least 3 years, the candidate will have experience of working on new build/refurbishment projects typically up to £1.5million
A good technical understanding and applicational knowledge is essential, design capability and CAD experience would be a distinct advantage.
The individual will provide teams and individuals the benefit of their experience
Will demonstrate good communication skills and be able to provide status reports and offer professional opinions.
Shall be responsible for the management of multiple tenders/estimates to meet client constraints.
This role will be suitable for an intermediate Estimator that is looking for a long term opportunity to assist the management team with the development of the f the business for the foreseeable future.
