Job Title: Senior Claims Handler - PI / D&O

Job Description

A position has become available with our client for a Senior Claims Handler in the Professional Lines Team. The successful candidate will need to have a minimum of 3 years experience in dealing with professional indemnity claims and/or Directors & Officers, from either a Company Market, Lloyds or a broker background. Progression towards the ACII qualification would be beneficial, although not essential.

The position will include but not be limited to the following;

Claims handling under delegated authorities.

Considering policy coverage.

Considering appropriate strategy and reserving.

Selection and monitoring of legal representation.

Detail for record keeping and data management.

Client liaison.

The successful candidate will need to have;

Experience and knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.

Experience and knowledge of the relevant Pre-Action Protocols

Experience of handling claims cost effectively and pro-actively.

Further, the successful candidate will need to be;

Client focused.

Articulate.

Diligent.

Organised.

Presentable.

Ability to work unsupervised.

Ability to meet strict deadlines and adhere to SLA requirements.

Ideal but not essential;

Law Graduate.

Paralegal.

Knowledge of ECF (IMR) and other market systems.
