Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
To support the actuarial department in all reserving and reporting work and to contribute to the process of continuous improvement within the department.
MAIN DUTIES
* Quarterly reserve reviews for Lloyds syndicates.
* Provision of annually accounted figures on a regular basis, and the maintenance of the appropriate models.
* Provision of cashflow projections on a regular basis, and the maintenance of the appropriate models.
* Maintenance and documentation of appropriate controls and checks for actuarial processes.
* Actuarial input into the planning process for Lloyds syndicates.
* Development and enhancement of management reports to the Board and its Committees.
* Providing support to other members of the actuarial department on an ad hoc basis when required.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Essential: Good knowledge of Excel and Word (or equivalent)
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential: Honours Degree.
'A' Level Maths Grade A+
Desirable: 'A' Level English.
2(i) Honours degree or better.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Essential: None
Desirable: Up to 2 year's general insurance experience
