Wordings Technician Salary circa £50,000 Reports to Head of Property Division Job Summary: The successful applicant will be responsible for the drafting and agreement of facultative contract wordings, reviewing both facultative and reinsurance contracts and wordings to ensure they reflect the Underwriters intentions and strategy. Main Duties: Drafting and reviewing inwards facultative contracts and wordings, checking and reviewing of workings for international business including individual risks written under line slips/binding authorities, recommending working solutions to facultative underwriters, develop and maintain facultative wording library, liaise with the claims department on facultative wording issues, assist the senior working technician with checking of treaty reinsurance slip wordiungs during major renewal periods. Technical skills - Essential: Use of Windows 2000 XP, immediate understanding of computer spreadsheets (particularly Excel), Experience in using the Lloyd’s Wording Repository and the Market Wordings Database. Relevant Experience – Essential: minimum 10 years of Lloyd’s Market experience, mimimus of 5 years wording experience Education and Qualifications – Essential: GCSE Maths grade B or above, minimum of 5 other GCSE’s C or above. Desirable: Insurance Qualification and Degree.
