Our client provides the international financial community with a complete range of software solutions covering Trading, Order Management, Risk Management, Order Routing Network, Market Data and Dedicated Services.
The company has 28 offices worldwide and employs more than 1300 people. It has over 3,500 clients including 500 international financial institutions. In 2006,the company’s turnover was €185M.  They are quoted on Eurolist.

Objective:

Part of the company is located in the City of London, employs 170 people and covers the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, South Africa and the Nordics. Focused on the delivery of quality products and services and driven by a competitive environment, the company Post Trade Securities, a subsidiary of our client, is looking for a new Account Manager.

Job Description:

This global company has an immediate opening for a proven Account Manager to promote their product and service solutions, and maintain daily contacts within their current UK customer base.  The successful candidate will be calling on the operational managers/directors within the capital markets business world and needs to be able to engage them in discussions on all aspects of their middle and back office.  The ideal candidate will have good presentation skills and must be able to close license and services contracts and understand the sales processes from start to end. This is a great opportunity in an experienced team, with a well known product and an expanding client base.
Reporting to the London MD for Post Trade Securities, you will be required to:
Get to know the clients business, issues and opportunities, contracts and understand where they can add value to their future business.
Hold regular meetings and arrange demonstrations liaising with pre sales
Manage new proposals which include
Professional Services
Functional analysis and development
Licence fees
Terms
Timetable
Deadlines/legal wording
Follow up and secure commitment
Co-ordinate contract amendments with legal team
Ensure client requirements are included in plans
Secure Purchase Orders or other commitment
Propose product enhancements within the company
Understand new developments and sell benefits to client
Look for opportunities to sell new or implement existing modules
Raise invoices at correct contract stages
Handle renewal contracts
Represent they company’s view to the client
Represent the clients view to the company

Required Skills:

Must have 2-3 years experience as an account manager or new business sales in a software company providing solutions to the financial community – middle and back office experience an advantage.
Able to demonstrate a track record of signing contracts
Ability to build relationships with clients at all levels with a view to promoting the added value of the company’s solutions.
Excellent communication skills
Confident, focused with initative and leadership.

Remuneration:

Negotiable relating to experience
