JOB SUMMARY Event coding of inward losses Lors validation Reinsurance recoveries General departmental administration tasks MAIN DUTIES Event Coding Apply event codes to claims items daily Run monthly reports to review event coded items Lors Validation Daily monitoring and processing of Lors’ transactions Daily processing of the items through the database system Reinsurance Recoveries Calculate, issue and monitor reinsurance collection notes as per contract terms and conditions Comply with department’s quarter end deadline requirements Respond to reinsurers queries in a timely manner Administration tasks Assist in the production of the Department’s Quarter End Timetables Producing Department’s claim movement reports on a weekly and monthly basis Project work – assist in the testing and implementation of new software Review and update procedure manuals in an accurate and timely manner RELEVANT EXPERIENCE Essential – Minimum two years reinsurance experience Essential - Experience with a Lloyd’s syndicate TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Essential – Excel, intermediate Essential – Word, intermediate Essential - Microsoft office, intermediate Desirable – experience with the ‘Lors’ systems Desirable – experience with a database system EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Essential – GCSE ‘O’ Level English and Maths Grade C or above (Or equivalent) Desirable – 3 ‘A’ Level passes (or equivalent) Desirable – LLMIT SPECIALIST TRAINING Full training on our client’s software and systems will be given PERSONAL SKILLS Professional, accurate, energetic, enthusiastic, ambitious and hard-working
