The Role We require an underwriter who will progress quickly and gain a high underwriting authority within 6-24 months. Key Responsibilities Daily case underwriting of a very wide range of event enquiries ranging from world wide events; to unique individual occasions, dealing with both direct clients and brokers throughout the UK and some in EU. Ensure a close monitoring of existing customers, understanding their ongoing needs and requirements. Relationship management responsibilities for our larger clients. Visits to direct clients and brokers throughout UK to sell our covers, attend renewal meetings. Regular competitor analysis (rates, cover, and appetite). Opportunities to cross-sell other products Person Specification Relevant Professional Experience: ideally a minimum of 3 to 5 years underwriting experience, all classes of business will be considered. Good progress towards ACII. Ability to demonstrate the thought process to consider the risks involved a wide range of event types. Good knowledge and interest in world current affairs. Proven Sales ability. Able to adapt and show flexibility when required especially in relation to servicing the needs of direct customers and brokers and to put customer service to the very front of everything we do as a team.
