Job Title: Senior Treasury Assistant


Job Description

We have a new opportunity to work with a large Lloyds syndicate in their Finance department as a Senior Treasury Assistant.
 
Duties for the role are as follows:
 
To maintain Treasury and investment operations on a day to day basis:
Managing payments and receipts of Corporate and Syndicate entities
Ensure that funds are passed to and brought back from investment managers in an orderly manner so as to minimise the impact of unforced reinvestment risk and transactional costs
Continuously monitor performance and returns of liquidity fund managers/banks and manage the placement of surplus liquidity accordingly
Maintain cash books and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with agreed timelines and standards
Maintain Treasury policy and procedures manual
Continuous review and development of the Treasury framework to ensure that it meets the businesses emerging needs
Implementation of improvements to internal processes, systems and controls
To support the investment recording process for Syndicate and Corporate entities including:
Review and/or preparation of investment postings and reconciliations in accordance with monthly/quarterly timetable
Analysis of investment returns and holdings to meet all internal and external reporting requirements
Development of monitoring and reporting tools e.g. KPI’s and KRI’s, for all Treasury and investment reporting related activities for performance measurement and efficient control purposes
Other ad-hoc tasks to support the Treasury Manager as required
 
Applicants should possess a good understanding of ledgers and trial balances, have advanced Excel and strong presentation skills for reporting financial and management information
