Head of Direct Marketing

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Professional to join this forward thinking and growing Insurance Company.

Core Responsibilities will be as follows:

Lead the Direct Marketing activity, delivering on both acquisition and retention targets across all client accounts, across all channels of communication;

Lead test & learn initiatives, leading a testing program across all elements of the marketing mix, providing guidance across the Group on results and recommendations;

Manage the insight and research functions, providing Customer and Market insight across the Group and managing strategic insight initiatives including Segmentation;

Control acquisition / retention costs, ensuring initiatives are within timescales and budgets, and costs reflect the future profitability of the initiative;

Ensure best practice and learnings are shared across the Business;

Manage key internal and external supplier relationships, promoting cross departmental working.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

· A Marketing professional with a strong commercial bias gained in a B2C environment;

· Previous experience of managing direct marketing programmes essential;

· Driven and collaborative, with the ability to develop solid relationships at all levels;

· Numerate, analytical with exceptional attention to detail;

· Sound interpersonal and presentation skills;

Ability to understand and develop knowledge of the industry
Understand through market research the marketplace for each sector e.g. volume / size / product and the competitive environment;
Understand the legal issues e.g. DPA / TPS / MPS that affect our marketing and implement change where necessary;
Product and analyse required reports on all KPIs / metrics and develop strategies to improve performance where necessary;
