The Role:
This is a key strategic hire to drive the business forward with energy and direction. We require a deputy to the Event’s Underwriting Manager who will progress quickly and gain a high underwriting authority within 6-12 months.


Key Responsibilities:
- Daily case underwriting of a very wide range of event enquiries ranging from world wide events; to unique individual occasions, dealing directly with both direct clients and brokers
- Point of contact for referrals from other team members
- Able to use opportunities to cross sell other company products
- Ensure a close monitoring of existing customers, understanding their ongoing needs and requirements
- Relationship management responsibilities for our larger clients
- Visits to direct clients and brokers to sell our covers, attend renewal meetings
- Assisting the underwriting manager in underwriter file reviews, feedback and training
- Working with the underwriting manager and operations teams on a number of projects ranging form product development to business improvement
- Assisting the Underwriting Manager with regular competitor analysis (rates, cover, and appetite).
- Responsibility for all our Website development.
- Attending some Events / syndicate management meetings                                 

Person Specification                                                                   Person Specification:
- Relevant Professional Experience: ideally a minimum of 4 to 5 years underwriting experience, all classes of business will be considered
- ACII qualified or significant progress.
- Ability to demonstrate the technical know how of underwriting in relation to a very wide range of event types.
- Proven Sales ability with experience in cross selling
- Able to adapt and show flexibility when required especially in relation to servicing the needs of direct customers and brokers and to put customer service to the very front of everything we do as a team.
