QC Manager – UKAS accredited CCP (Certified Competent Person) Technical Manager

Qualifications Required:

BOHS S301 + Oral and full driving license and some experience in quality management

CCP (Certified Competent Person)

Personal Attributes Required:

Strong and up to date knowledge of current and pending legislation

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Good people/client skills

Computer literate

Commercial Awareness

Ability to devise and set up robust technical systems and monitoring processes

Ability to work seamlessly with the operation team

Ability to work under pressure

Job Description:

Prepare & issuing documentation (scope & specification and project completion)

Carry out internal and external audits

Site visits, resolving technical queries, training and audits

Dealing with the day to day UKAS duties

Understanding quality control

As part of an exceptional team, the QC manager responsibilities to include:

Conducting on site air monitoring in accordance with HSE procedures

Monitoring contractors while they work to ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations

Assisting with building surveys to identify asbestos containing materials

Summary:

To ensure the company maintains a high level of technical competence and quality in all aspects of it business, recognized by UKAS accreditation and client satisfaction, it requires a full time focused professional to work alongside the existing team and lead the quality agenda in all aspects of the company’s activities.

Full knowledge of asbestos QA systems combined with operational aspects of an asbestos consultancy, In depth knowledge of asbestos, UKAS, RICE, and aims schemes, experience of direct liaison with UKAS. At least two years Asbestos technical manager experience, ideally relevant asbestos experience S301 written & oral asbestos certified competent person. Strong comprehensive and up to date knowledge of current and pending UK asbestos legislation & best practice.
