The role
To provide a premier claims service within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications claims department of the company. We Insure some of the worlds leading media and technology companies and have an excellent track record of professional claims management. You will be based in the UK and will play an active role in London managing your own accounts (to include the TV and film production account) as well as working closely with the TMT Claims Manager on non claim related matters. You will manage and negotiate the claims arising from your accounts that are 100% underwritten by the company. This is a “hands on role” where you will not only have plenty of client contact; but you will also be involved in drafting policy wordings; liaising regularly with underwriters; and pitching for new accounts and attending renewals meetings. This position will involve overseas travel for short periods of time.

Key responsibilities
• Investigation of claims from first notification to conclusion, including recovery actions.
• Liaising and negotiating by telephone and “face to face” with Insured’s, brokers, Claimants and their representatives. This is a Global account, and claim can arise from any territory.
• To instruct and actively manage lawyers.
• To become familiar with the CMS (Claims management system) and Magic Underwriting Computer systems.
• To assist in providing useful feedback to underwriters/senior management, by producing quarterly risk management/claim reports on individual business classes and sub classes (i.e. products) when required.
