Working within a dedicated team to deliver a high quality claims service to high net worth household, motor and commercial clients and brokers; whilst maintaining and enhancing the company’s reputation for extraordinary claims service. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the portfolio of subsidence claims with an emphasis on project management and proactive claims handling. You will be responsible for managing client expectations, liaising with the intermediary, loss adjuster and any other appointed experts. You will have an input in assessing the size of the claim, the diagnostic process and deciding on the most appropriate method of repair. You will also be expected to report regularly to the Technical Claims Manager on the status of the portfolio and identify and claims of concern.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively project managing a caseload of high net worth subsidence claims.
• Deal with telephone calls from policyholders, brokers, loss adjusters and other experts.
• Ability to work unsupervised and show initiative in their claims handling approach.
• Building a relationship and gaining broker and expert confidence when handling losses.
• 100% customer and indemnity focused and being comfortable with the companys claims handling philosophy.
• Ability to handle individual claims as well as drive the direction of the whole portfolio.

            Key requirements
Skills
• Applicants will have solid experience in handling subsidence claims either from an insurer, loss adjusting, surveying or engineering background.
• Applicants will have strong technical competency.
• High net worth experience would be advantageous.
• Progression towards relevant professional qualifications would be advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of Windows packages, including Microsoft Project, would be advantageous.
