Position: Reinsurance Technician
Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: City of London
Salary: £20,000 to £25,000pa
A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a Lloyds Syndicate for a Re-insurance Technician, based at their luxury offices in the City.
Job Duties
Lors Validation
Event Coding
Apply event codes to claims items daily
Run monthly reports to review event coded items
Daily monitoring and processing of Lors’ transactions
Daily processing of the items through the database system
Reinsurance Recoveries
Calculate, issue and monitor reinsurance collection notes as per contract terms and conditions
Comply with department’s quarter end deadline requirements
Respond to reinsurers queries in a timely manner
Assist in the production of the Department’s Quarter End Timetables
Producing Department’s claim movement reports on a weekly and monthly basis
Project work – assist in the testing and implementation of new software
Review and update procedure manuals in an accurate and timely manner
Experience Requirements
One to two years reinsurance experience
Experience with a Lloyd’s Syndicate
Technical Skills Required
Essential – Excel, intermediate
Essential – Word, intermediate
Essential - Microsoft office, intermediate
Desirable – experience with the ‘Lors’ systems
Desirable – experience with a database system
Education Requirements
Essential – GCSE ‘O’ Level English and Maths Grade C or above
(Or equivalent)
Desirable – 3 ‘A’ Level passes (or equivalent)
Desirable – LLMIT
