Head of Analysis – Claims & MI

 

Overview
As the Head of Analysis you will be working in a team led by the Head of Claims Operations and consisting of a number of Claims Technicians & Administrators and three to four Business Analysts/Project Managers

You will be working in a pivotal role primarily supporting the Claims group functions as well as providing some analytical support for the Underwriting business units and other Group functions. The core function of the role is the delivery of timely and accurate MI and analysis as well as the maintenance and development of the KPIs required by the leadership of Claims to deliver the company’s objectives.


Key responsibilities
• Researching information aligned to project/task deliverables
• Extensive liaison with Claims, Group MI and Finance teams to collate project specific data
• Financial & statistical analyses for specific tasks/projects
• Developing robust and logical presentations for senior management          

 

 

 

Person Specification                 
• Degree qualified in a relevant field, e.g. Maths, Stats, Economics, Finance
• Quantitative analysis experience
• Extensive exposure to data extraction & manipulation from databases such as Access, SQL or Cognos
• Competent with statistical modelling tools such as SAS
• Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
• Sound business acumen and understanding of finance principles
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Confidence and ability to liaise and present to senior management
• Ability to adapt to change
