Job Description
To manage motor third party damage claims within agreed quality and service standard
Manage individual Third Party Claims to successful conclusion. Claims to be managed within your personal Claims handling/payment authorities as appropriate.
Develop working relationships with all Claims service suppliers supporting the Third Party Claims Team.
Audit technical competencies of Third Party Claim service providers.
Contribute to plans for managing known Third Party Claim issues that arise from time to time.
Contribute to performance reporting arrangements.
Be aware of market developments regarding Third Party Claim Management.
Ensure awareness of Treating Customers Fairly and how customers are managed.
Ensure awareness and understanding of Financial Crime and how it is managed.
Other duties may be required – work will involve some non – motor Third Party Damage Claims.
Ad hoc or additional:
The above represents the key areas of responsibility within your role, however you may be required to cover additional duties as and when required.
Experience:
A good understanding of Claims technical knowledge/general insurance knowledge, including awareness of Credit Hire Claims and ABI GTA and relevant court processes.
Customer focused.
People development skills.
Service delivery focused.
Professional Qualifications:
Progression towards an insurance qualification is a positive advantage.
Skills/Personal Qualities:
Ability to understand and discuss claims situations with own advisers (staff, solicitors) and negotiate with third party solicitors and claims management companies. Confidence and ability to make decisions in situations involving Company spend.
