Job Title: Adviser – Motor Own Damage Claims

Job Description

To manage motor own damage claims within agreed quality and service standard.

Manage individual Motor Own Damage Claims to successful conclusion. Claims to be managed within your personal Claims handling/payment authorities as appropriate.

Develop working relationships with all Claims service suppliers supporting the Motor Own Damage Claims Team.

Contribute to audit of technical competencies of Motor Own Damage Claim service providers.

Contribute to plans for managing known Motor Own Damage Claim issues that arise from time to time.

Contribute to performance reporting arrangements.

Be aware of market developments regarding Motor Own Damage claims management.

Ensure awareness of Treating Customers Fairly and how customers are managed.

Ensure awareness and understanding of Financial Crime and how it is managed.

Other duties may be required.

Experience:

A good understanding of Claims technical knowledge/general insurance knowledge, including awareness of recoveries, theft and total loss claims.

Customer focused.

People development skills.

Service delivery focused.

Professional Qualifications:

Progression towards an insurance qualification is a positive advantage.

Skills/Personal Qualities:

Ability to understand and discuss claims situations with own advisers (staff, brokers and solicitors) and negotiate closure of claims.
