Job Description
To manage Motor Third Party Damage Claims within agreed quality and service standard.
Manage individual Third Party Damage Claims to successful conclusion. Claims to be managed within your personal Claims handling/payment authorities as appropriate.
Develop working relationships with all Claims service suppliers supporting the Third Party Damage Claims Team.
Audit technical competencies of all Third Party Damage Claim service providers.
Act as technical referral for others in the Claims Team.
Attend relevant market forums.
Contribute to plans for managing known Third Party Damage Claim issues that arise from time to time.
Contribute to and develop performance reporting arrangements.
Keep up to date on market developments regarding Third Party Damage Claim Management.
Ensure team is aware of Treating Customers Fairly and how customers are managed.
Ensure team is aware of and understandings Financial Crime and how it is managed.
Other duties may be required – work will involve Third Party Damage Claims.
Experience:
An in depth understanding of Claims technical knowledge/general insurance knowledge.
Customer focused.
People development skills.
Service delivery focused.
Professional Qualifications:
ACII or progression towards is a positive advantage
Skills/Personal Qualities:
Ability to understand and discuss complex situations with own advisers (staff, solicitors) and negotiate with third party solicitors and claims management companies. Ability to make decisions in complex situations involving significant Company spend.
