Job Title: Claims Technician / Handler - Professional Indemnity

Job Description

2 positions have become available for a Claims Technicians / Handlers in the Professional Lines Team. The successful candidates will ideally have a minimum of 2 years experience (applicants with less experience would also be considered), in dealing with professional indemnity claims, from either a Company Market, Lloyds / London Market or a Broker background. Progression towards the ACII qualification would be beneficial, although not essential.

The position will include but not be limited to the following;

- considering policy coverage

- dealing with broker files at daily appointments

- instructing solicitors/adjusters and liaising with them throughout the claim

- administering claims in accordance with client requirements

- keeping the database updated

The successful candidate will need to have;

- experience and knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules

- experience and knowledge of the relevant Pre-Action Protocols

- experience of handling claims in a cost effective and pro-active manner

- experience of the London Market

- experience of ECF and Class would be beneficial

Further, the successful candidate will need to be;

- used to dealing with Clients

- articulate

- diligent

- organised

- presentable

- able to work unsupervised
