Based in London, my client are a privately listed Insurance company, employing approx. 2000 staff and are currently looking to recruit a Data Analyst.

Ideally they are looking for individuals who are degree educated (maths related preferably) together with A Level Maths, to work within our Statistics & Underwriting department.
This key department provides underwriting for all insurance activities.
They are responsible for setting net premiums and monitoring profitability through analysis and reporting, both to Group and client management.

Key Responsibilities:

To produce client and internal reports Updating, producing and checking existing reports within specific time periods in order to meet service levels.
Implementing any adjustments and improvement reports to aid the team.
Creating reports for new/existing clients and for internal purposes.
Liaising with other departments to agree report structure and regularity for new requests.
Management information and data analyses Updating existing analytical reports and data sets.
Providing data analysis from the mainframe on which underwriting decisions can be made.
Analysing data on the mainframe computer to highlight possible risk areas.
Creating financial projections, and involvement in budgeting and forecasting.
General administration.
Aiding the day-to-day running of the statistics department, updating worklists and dealing with ad-hoc requests.
