Development Underwriter My Client are looking for a Development Underwriter to identify and secure new Personal Lines / Commercial Opportunities within Schemes, Associations, Book Transfers, MGA’s, Equity or Purchase opportunities.

Working alongside the Underwriting Partnership team the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

Creating and building a pipeline of potential opportunities through a structured prospecting strategy, working with internal and external partners and entities to build and identify new opportunities to target.
Facilitating, managing and assisting in the outcomes following the initial opportunity, ensuring a constant stream of opportunity is being fed into the business.
Ensuring that my client are always positioned as the first choice for any transfer, acquisition, equity opportunity within its defined niche.
Providing structure and guidance to Regional Managers to enable them to identify opportunities within Brokers and maintain ongoing and beneficial relationships.
Work across class and specialisms in order to ensure The Company’s profitable growth for the future.

Key Requirements:

Excellent interpersonal skills ideally paired with a network of contacts within the insurance industry and associations.
Driven and able to use own initiative to identify and follow-up enterprising leads.
Experience of hunting and delivering profitable business deals.

Ability to cultivate a network of lead generating contacts ranging from internal Regional Managers and Underwriters, to Reinsurers, Corporate Advisors and Trade bodies.
A proven track record in delivery and driven by results.
This role will require someone who is fully mobile with a full driver’s licence.
