My client are looking for an experienced underwriter preferably with Motor Trade and/or Commercial Motor Insurance experience to work within their team of commercial underwriters.
Candidates will need to have a minimum of 2 year’s experience in the Insurance Industry, although full training will be given.

Duties will include:-

To accurately calculate new business, renewal and adjustment quotations and present these verbally, by fax or by email.
To ensure that quotations are entered onto the system promptly and accurately as and when applicable.
To deal with referrals via broker on-line quotation system or other EDI quote systems.
To check all new and renewal business completing the appropriate check sheets and applying the correct terms to pass to the data entry team.
To liaise with agents in respect of general queries.
To liaise with the Insurance Company on any issue outside of our delegated authority.
To deal with any Police query relating to vehicles not disclosed on the MID or with any investigation/enquiry that they may have.
To deal with any technical administration that maybe generated by specialist risks.
To create and build relationships with new and existing agents to promote business development.
To attend visits to agents’ offices and give product training as and when required.
