Job Description
Summary:
To support the general functions of our busy IT department.
Responsible for looking after all aspects of the IT systems including Windows 2000/ 2003 Servers, Exchange Server, Active Directory, general networking, TCP/IP, Desktop building/support, maintaining all anti virus, as well as the general upkeep of the company’s systems, networks and telecoms.
Reporting to:
I.T Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with departmental project work.
Microsoft Exchange.
Maintain Windows 2000/2003 Servers.
Maintain Active Directory, TCP/IP.
Desktop building and support.
Set up telephones and manage the telecoms software.
Maintain Anti-virus Software.
Maintain company’s systems (standard as well as custom) Support users.
Ad hoc or Aadditional:
To assist and help in the I.T department as and when required, the role may require the working of late evenings and occasional weekends to assist with ad-hoc projects.
The above represents the key areas of responsibility within your role.
However you may be required to cover additional duties as and when needed.
Experience:
At least one years experience in a similar role.
Professional Qualifications:
4 GSCE Grade A-C including Maths and English (Essential) (or equivalent).
Microsoft certification or any IT related qualification (Highly Desirable) (or equivalent).
Skills/Personal Qualities:
Ability to work under own initiative as well as part of team.
Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
Common sense and ability to problem solve on an ad-hoc basis.
Good communication skills.
Good customer service skills.
Network troubleshooting and Desktop support.
