Department: Underwriting & Statistics

Reports to: Underwriting & Statistics Manager

In time and with ongoing training, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Responsibilities:

Quote prices and terms for extended warranty business in the UK and the rest of Europe.
Maintain a disciplined underwriting philosophy within agreed guidelines.
Monitor schemes for underwriting and administration profitability.
Monitor account profitability.
Review and agree contract and plan wordings where applicable.
Review all schemes on an annual basis and present recommendations to clients.
Ensure scheme administration processes are detailed and associated costs are included within pricing structure.
Recommend initiatives to other departments and work through proposals in order to maintain quality and profitability.
Ensure underwriting requirements are fully integrated in systems and administrative planning.
New product rating and modelling.
Rates table maintenance.
Input and maintenance of rates on AS400 mainframe

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

A recent graduate with a 2:2 or above in a mathematical or science based subject.
Ambitious, disciplined, flexible and conscientious.
Good PC skills.
Able to demonstrate sound business awareness.
Ability to extract and analyse data.
