Job Description
Summary:
To assist the Receptionist in all duties ensuring the reception desk is maintained to an effective and efficient level at all times and to assist with ad hoc administration duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Answering incoming calls from the main switchboard and placing them correctly.
Dealing with initial customer telephone queries, finding out relevant information and forwarding these on to the correct department.
Greeting visitors to the company in the appropriate manner, signing them in and out of the visitors book and allocating visitor passes as appropriate.
Ensuring all visitors are collected from reception by the relevant staff member.
Taking collection of deliveries.
Organising Cabs and couriers as and when required.
Undertaking various administration duties as and when required.
Ad hoc or additional:
The above represents the key areas of responsibility within your role;
however you may be required to cover additional duties as and when required.
The role includes working hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm and 8.00am to 4.00pm worked on a rota basis.
Experience:
Good communication skills including confidence when talking on the telephone and in person.
Ability to work under own initiative and under pressure at times.
Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
Common sense and ability to problem solve on an ad-hoc basis.
Ability to multi task.
Skills/Personal Qualities:
Computer literacy and keyboard skills essential.
Administration experiences an advantage.
Reception experience essential.
