Job Description

Responsible to: Service Delivery Manager

Job summary:

Deliver a varied, patient focused service based on agreed care pathways.
Ensure that all national legislation, contractual and corporate polices and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Operational:

Operate the day-to-day running of the project as the business dictates.
To assist the Service Delivery Manger in all aspects of the project as required.
Answer patient enquires/queries and forward necessary information to the designated community worker.
Provide cover and assistance for other staff within the office as required by Service Delivery Manager.
To assist in the recruitment of all level of staff observing Company polices and procedures.
Observe Patient and community staff confidentiality.

Communication:

Provide weekly statistics of community staff activity as requested by the Service Delivery Manager.
Liase regularly with patients and all community staff reporting any complaints to the Service Delivery Manager.
Communicate closely with the Purchaser to ensure consistency in patient care.
Communicate closely with community staff to ensure records are accurate and that they have the information necessary to carry out their duties.

Administration:

Make sure the project is run in accordance of current legislation and corporate policies and procedures.
Understand all office procedures.
Keep detailed records of all transactions and communications from patients.
Be involved in the processing of community staff expenses.
Ensure you maintain a high standard of work presentation both oral and written.
Maintain accurate records for community staff and Patients.
Record relevant details of all new Patients and staff according to policy and keep all records updated using computer and manual systems.

Financial:

Operate within budget.
Assist the Service Delivery Manager in setting financial targets, order and maintain stock and equipment within the agreed budget.

Business Development:

Build and maintain good communications and relationships with all patients and the Purchaser.
Ensure that all business opportunities are recognised and Service Delivery Manager advised.

Recruitment:

Interview and maintain sufficient numbers of community staff to fulfil requirements of patients.
Process applications and recruitment activities in a professional and timely way.
Arrange recruitment advertising when required.

Personnel &Training:

Be able to give advice on PREP and help organise timetables of study sessions for all community staff.
Make sure community staff are up date with all statutory training requirements.

Quality and Compliance:

Provide the service within agreed quality standards.
Monitor quality standards both formally and informally on a day-to-day basis.
Participate in office audit both externally and by means of self-audit.

Personal Development:

Participate in training as agreed by the Service Delivery Manager.
Maintain highest possible personal standards in terms of presentation, method of operating and ethical judgements. Seek advice when unsure of any situation.
