Job Description

The Company:

The company provides the financial community with Trading & Order Management Software, a proprietary Network, Market Data and a range of Services.  We have solutions to cover the entire order flow, from Buy side order sending to post-trade settlement.
The company has 30 offices worldwide and employs more than 1400 people.  It has over 3,500 clients including 500 international financial institutions.  In 2007, the company turnover was €203M. The Company is quoted on Eurolist.

Objective:

Part of the company is located in the City of London , employs 250 people and covers the UK , Ireland , Germany , Russia and South Africa .  Keen on quality of products and services, and driven by its development in a competitive environment, the company now requires a new Commercial Manager to work in the Commercial Department to accompany the current client growth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be reporting directly to the Finance Director, and will be managing the Commercial Team for the company, who are responsible for Sales Administration in a contract-driven software rental business.
You will be based in London and will be responsible for the following:
Overseeing the day to day running of the Commercial team (four Sales Administrators in London and other Administrators elsewhere in the LNE region) who are responsible for the preparation, issuing and sending out of all contracts, sales invoices and installation / acceptance forms; the processing of cancellations and the logging and filling of all contracts and commercial documentation.
Responsible for team and group contract and invoicing deadlines being achieved.
Ensuring all contracts and contractual documentation are approved and agreed by the relevant management prior to being sent to the client.
Ensuring the integrity of data (figures, periods, product codes, business lines etc).
Helping manage, maintain and enhance the SAP contract database.
Monitoring of software installation completions and preparation of monthly “work in progress” reports for revenue recognition prediction.
Checking and approval of intercompany invoicing.
Checking of and assistance with Exchange Fee / Market Data Fee declarations.
Liaising with the corporate legal department to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and contractual terms and conditions.
Preparation of monthly and quarterly turnover reports and assistance in reconciliation of accounts for the quarter and year end closes.
Account analysis, including assistance and checking of more complex contract renegotiations.
Reporting to the Finance department on turnover and invoicing as required, including the monthly reports for the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Annual appraisals and continuous performance assessment of members of the Commercial Team.
Main escalation point for the Commercial Team for staff related and work related issues.
Ad-hoc tasks and requests from Management and HQ as and when required.

Required Skills:

Degree level required.
Ability to manage a team, and ensure that all documentation issued (contractual, invoicing and reporting) is of the highest possible standard.
Organised, with the ability to work to deadlines.
Fast learner, motivated and enthusiastic.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Thorough attention to detail and to accuracy.
Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, and a CRM software package (SAP database knowledge advantageous).
Understanding of basic contract law preferable.
