Job Description

Responsible for:
Managing service provision, finance and administration, staff and service user Interventions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing Service Provision.
To develop the service in line with Company and Divisional strategic direction.
To promote existing relationships with Local Authorities and other professional bodies in a way that enables the business to grow and thereby meet divisional targets.
To competently represent the Company within Local Authority/other frameworks including involvement in negotiations with these bodies regarding all aspects of homecare contracting.
To understand, implement and evaluate aims, objectives, policies, procedures, guidelines and principles of good practice.
To understand and implement legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to user group.
To be able to manage, monitor and operate a service, which is flexible, responsive and non-discriminatory.
To be able to plan, allocate and evaluate the workload of all staff.
To uphold Company Policy in relation to the quality assurance systems.
To recognise opportunities and communicate initiatives which compliment Company objectives.
To ensure the competency and effectiveness of the out of hours service.
Managing Finance & Administration:
Maximising Profitability - effectively allocate, monitor and control financial resources.
Agree & manage budgets effectively.
To be able to create and maintain administrative/IT systems.
To provide reports to senior management as and when required Managing Staff:
Effectively manage the performance and development of staff.
Manage, monitor and review the recruitment and selection staff in line with Branch recruitment plans.
Supervise and support a dispersed workforce.
To direct, support and manage office staff to maximise administrative/IT systems within expected parameters of operation.
Manage monitor and review induction and ongoing training needs.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Managing Service User Interventions:
To develop and maintain good assessment and review procedures which become the foundation for appropriate care plans.
To ensure that appropriate kinds of intervention take place to meet the service user’s needs and rights.
To liaise with other agencies involved with the user to ensure the provision of integrated services.
To promote the agency’s complaints procedure and to respond efficiently.
To ensure that visits are covered at all times ensuring an efficient and high standard of service to all users.
Managing Service User Interventions:
