Product Control

Divisional Overview:

The department is responsible for understanding and controlling the trading business by substantiating the completeness, accuracy and validity of all business related corporate data that is used by Market Risk, Credit Risk, and Collateral Management, trading and marketing.
This will include completion of reconciled daily P&L, Balance Sheet, and MIS for senior management, Counterparty Statements and Sales Credits.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

We are recruiting for an ENO to manage the Structured Products team, supporting the Prime Services Structured Trading desk.
The candidate will need to deal with a wide range of products, including cash equities, futures, OTC options, bonds, indices and swaps.
It is essential that the person build a good relationship with the traders at all levels.

Responsibilities include:

Production of daily controls & PnL.
Reviewing daily/monthly work of controllers.
Responsible for balance sheet signoff.
Identifying and implementing control improvements.
Key contact with Front Office and other departments.
Adhoc project work.
New business.

Education and Professional Qualifications:

Essential:

University Degree (subject not important).
Chartered Accountant.

Work Experience/Background:

Essential:

Equities product experience.
Derivatives product experience.

Technical/Business Skills & Knowledge:

Essential:

Product Control process knowledge.
Team player.
Able to deal with difficult clients.
Keen to take on responsibility.

Desirable:

Wide ranging product knowledge will be more useful than in depth technical product knowledge.
