Job Description
The project:
A combined cycle Power Plant in Mexico.
It is anticipated that the commission will be for a period of at least 2 years but the actual period of assignment will be dependant upon the instructions of the client.
The Role:
Will be based in the client’s head office, with occasional visits to the construction site.
Dealing with all aspects of Contract Administration.
Dealing with Claims.
Requirements of The role:
A CA with claims expertise.
Capable of functioning in the capacity of Quantity Surveyor.
The ability to analyse Project schedules using Primavera 3.
Work Cycle:
The work / vacation cycle would be 11 weeks working followed by two week vacation, thus making four 13 week periods in a year.
Work Hours:
Head Office (Mexico City) – the basic working hours are 8 hours (9:00 to 18:30), with 1.5 hours lunch break.
Working hours will subject to change in accordance with the client’s requirements.
Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays designated by the client are classified as days off, unless otherwise requested to work by the client.
Construction Site (Lazaro Cardenaz) – the basic working hours are 8 hours over a 6 day-week.
Start and finish times will be designated by the Client.
Travel:
Business class flights to and from Europe at the commencement and completion of the assignment and for each vacation period.
Accommodation:
Suitable accommodation would be provided at or near to the location of the site free of charge. Transport: When located at site the candidate will be provided with free use of a car for business use only.
