Job Description
Over all purpose of the job:
This is a new role created as the company introduces the next phase of its IT capability.
It is a key role as it will involve becoming the expert on the system.
The role will involve primarily a focus on projects and change management for any relevant business projects to ensure successful research, planning and execution of the necessary tasks to fulfill the business requirement.
There will also be the operational element of ensuring the system is effectively maintained and that day to day tasks and issues are coordinated in an effective and streamlined manner.
This role will also be responsible for the main configuration of the system to enable changes to be implemented quickly and efficiently.
This role will grow and develop as the way we use Online Services within our clients matures.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with technical skills, the ability to develop strong business relationship with key end users and other members of the project team.
Principle duties and responsibilities:
Understand the workings of the Online Services Infrastructure and how it interacts with other business systems.
Work with the business to understand their requirements and what Online Services can provide for them to suggest ways for how to implement any required business needs based on knowledge of the system.
To execute any necessary changes to the system as determined by each individual business project.
To provide any required documentation / reporting / MI / supporting materials as deemed necessary.
To be involved in any other ad-hoc projects and administration associated with the system.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience and personal requirements:
Preferably a graduate or relevant work experience.
Experience within the Insurance Industry or a financial institution.
Proven track record within a Business Analyst type role or able to demonstrate the required skills of a Business analyst including organisation and prioritization of key duties, strong interpersonal skills and an analytical thought process.
Experience of project and change management and delivering these to a successful conclusion.
Knowledge of business processes.
Strong IT and MI skills.
Strong communication, relationship management and influencing skills.
Intellect and gravitas to influence and gain credibility with the company business personnel and management.
Demonstrates commitment to quality, service and problem management.
Personal drive, energy and commitment.
Desire for continuous improvement and personal growth.
