Job Title: Claims Administration Assistant


Job Description

Department: Claims

Job Objective/Summary:

To provide a high standard of administrative support to the Claims Team as and when required.  

Main Responsibilities:

Maintain claims team documents including; Claims TPA lists, Claims information reporting and downloading of claims data from TPA websites and ad hoc as required.
Arrange payment of TPA fees invoices, Imprest Fund top-ups and other claims payment invoices approved by the Claims Team.
Arrange meetings, draft agendas and produce minutes in a timely manner as required by the Claims Team.
Manage post, filing and archiving/recording of claims files for the Claims Team.
Provide general administration support for the Claims Team, including deputising to ensure all customer enquiries are answered.
Provide assistance with user acceptance testing as and when required.

Reports:

Reports to the Claims Operations Manager.

Knowledge/Experience and Attributes:

2 years basic experience in an insurance environment – Essential
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work under own initiative and to work to deadlines - Essential
Organised, flexible, willing and able to undertake a range of general administration duties competently and with an eye for detail – Essential
Experience of property, motor and casualty programmes and claims in a London Market environment - Desirable

Technical, Including It – Essential:

A comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
The ability to use initiative and take responsibility for data input/management, including spotting / rectification of errors.


Education and Qualifications:

Educated to GCSE level, to include English and Maths - Essential
