Job Purpose:
Through the development of people increase the capability of the organisation so its commercial targets can be met.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Facilitate the best value learning solutions working directly with Heads of Function and senior managers.
Champion Performance Management and produce initiatives to embed this as a way of working
Proactively drive the Business change agenda through customers providing constructively supportive and challenging input.
Plan, source, organise, and monitor delivery of best value learning solutions in line with departmental learning plans and budgets.
Proactively make recommendations to improve departmental processes.
Monitor and report spending against budget.
Identify and collate learning solutions from Performance Management documentation.
Analyse evaluation returns from customers, produce reports to show return on investment and implement courses of action to continually increase value of learning.
Deliver all aspects of the learning cycle: analysis, design, delivery, and evaluation.
Organise and maintain departmental records and databases in a timely and accurate way following agreed processes.
Influence customers at all levels and in all parts of the organisation.
Research suitable new courses from external learning suppliers.
Deliver other types of learning courses as required.
Produce reports as required including monthly board submissions.
Update existing and build new internal learning courses as required.
Fully contribute in weekly and monthly team meetings.
Participate in the building and delivery of the Group learning strategy.
Undertake project work from the Group Learning and Development Manager.
Play a key role in the delivery of the strategic people development project.
Be an ambassador and role model for change, Performance Management, and people development across the Business in this highly visible role.

Contacts:
The position has significant internal contacts with employees at all levels, but in particular, middle and senior management in liaising, influencing, communicating and encouraging commitment to people development, change, and Performance Management.
Significant external contacts are with professional Learning and Development and HR suppliers and consultants to source products and exchange of ideas.
This job description is not exhaustive - a high degree of flexibility, instinct, and drive to evolve within this role is required.
Scope:
Responsible for Strategic and Operational Learning and Development for key departments in the International division but may include UK departments in Wimbledon, Redhill and/or Coventry.
Facilitation of departmental learning and development budget
Facilitation of change at departmental level
No direct reports: Member of a team of six.
Qualifications:
Essential criteria:
O levels/GCSE including English Language and Mathematics
A level education or International baccalaureate
Desirable criteria:
Degree level education
CIPD/CTP qualified
NLP practitioner
CLAIT or ECDL
European language skills – French, German, and/or Spanish
MS Office software qualifications such as ITQ or MS certification
Experience of working in complex change environments
Experience of living and/or working in France, Germany, and/or Spain
Acquired Skills/Experience:
I.e. Experience in a particular type of job
Essential:
All aspects of training cycle: training needs analysis, course design, course delivery, and evaluation
MS office: word, excel, PowerPoint
Analysis and interpretation of data to produce recommendations
Excellent verbal and written communication
Report writing to a senior manager level
Commercial/operational experience
Strong process and administration skills
Experienced Trainer
Experience of learning consultancy and/or consultancy working
Excellent relationship building and maintenance skills
Excellent influencing skills
Desirable:
Management, Training Team leader, and/or Supervisor experience
Operational experience of an insurance organisation
Coaching
NLP knowledge including NLP Practitioner
Experience of desktop training
Experience of working in complex change environments
Working and/or living in France, Germany, and/or Spain
