The company’s Marketing Department:

The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Marketing Manager to support the Marketing Manager in her role running the marketing department.
The Marketing Assistant will report to the Marketing Manager and in turn the Marketing Director.

Role Overview:

The role requires a bright, enthusiastic and extremely organised individual who is able to completely support the Marketing Manager in her role in an efficient and professional manner.  
The role will be extremely pressurised at times and will only suit an individual who is able to cope with multi-tasking. 
You will, at times, need to use your initiative and to get on with tasks without prompting.
The majority of the marketing activity is generated by our online financial spread betting business. 
We are one of the top 5 providers of online financial spread betting.
We also provide a FSB service to 3rd parties in format that we call White Labels.

This role is extremely varied. There will be a lot to learn in a short amount of time.
It will require an individual with the right personality to join the marketing team with the aim of reducing the pressure in this very busy department. 

This job is an excellent opportunity to get first hand marketing experience in a wide variety of marketing mediums, in a small but rapidly growing financial services organisation.
The candidate should be able to work happily during busy periods using their initiative. 

Online Marketing:

We are interested in individuals that have some experience of online marketing.  In particular, using software such as Google Analytics.  Experience of SEO and PPC would also be an added bonus plus experience of implementing tracking code or basic HTML would be useful.

Seminars:

One aspect of the Marketing Assistants role is the organising of 2 monthly seminars.  These are out of hours i.e. evenings.
Your role will include researching and providing the Marketing Manager/Director and Head of Sales with feedback on the success of seminars.
You will also manage regular emails to individuals signed up to seminars, plus conducting a Customer Satisfaction survey after each seminar and presenting the results.

Data Mining:

One aspect of the role will be a variety of “data-mining”/research projects including the collation of White Label performance summaries each month and reporting findings to Marketing Team.  .

Other:

Other aspects of the role include working closely with the Marketing Manager in the day to day liaison with our Advertising Agencies and Media buyer. 
You will be required to learn the process and then oversee supply of adverts to publishers on time for printing, reviewing adverts prior to printing and to learn and adhere to the compliance procedure for all advertising going to print or online. 

Requirements:

The candidate should have:

Minimum of 1 year’s prior marketing experience preferably in the financial services sector.
Online/e-commerce marketing experience.
Grade A/B English language GCSE.
Grade A/B Maths GCSE.
A good degree (2:1 from a good university).
An excellent communicator.
Intermediate PowerPoint/Excel/Outlook.
Typing speed 45-50wpm.
