Job Description
The company is an AIM listed organisation which specialises in online trading and financial spread betting services.
It launched its financial spread betting service, Capital Spreads, in October 2003.
Part of our service is to provide “white label” spread betting services to many 3rd parties including BetFair, Paddy Power and E*TRADE.
Due to the rapid growth of our business, we are now looking for German speaking individuals to join the spread betting customer support team.
We are bound by strict SLA agreements with most of our White Label partners which require that we deliver a high level of support in an efficient and friendly manner. It has always been the policy at the company to provide the highest level of Customer Support and our team pride themselves on the service that they provide.
Job Description:
The Customer Support Assistant will report to the Customer Service Manager and may provide assistance to other members of the Capital Spreads team.
After appropriate training, the role will include:
Reviewing, approving and opening of spread betting accounts including assessing client suitability.
Training in “Know Your Client” and “Treating Customers Fairly” procedures.
Telephone support to clients and potential customers.
Online support to clients and potential customers – involving replying to emails within 10 minutes of initial enquiry.
Processing client cash deposits and refunds.
Resolving client issues.
Liaison with other departments – dealers, compliances, management.
Other general office duties.
Required Skills & Abilities:
We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic individual preferably with prior Customer Support experience.
Experience of handling client money and knowledge of money laundering procedures would be of particular benefit.
The candidate should preferably be a graduate with experience of dealing with retail customers.
Any experience of financial spread betting would be a bonus.
Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work calmly under pressure; a clear and pleasant telephone voice and a friendly, helpful manner.
Excellent written and spoken English plus fluent in German.
The candidate will be working under a great deal of pressure at times and must feel able to cope with extremely hectic periods.
The candidate should be friendly and helpful individual, have an excellent telephone manner and look to fit well with the rest of the Customer Support team. This role should suit someone that is interested in carving a career in the financial services world.
Qualifications:
Fluent in both written and oral German.
Fluent in both written and oral English.
Minimum A/B Maths GCSE or equivalent.
Minimum A/B English Language GCSE or equivalent.
Graduate with a good degree – 2:1 or equivalent.
Minimum typing 45wpm.
Computer literate and adept in using Outlook, MS Word, Excel.
