Job Summary:

I.T Testing of system specifications required by the business by an accepted change control testing process.
Additional use of an automated testing tool for the in-house underwriting system to maintain and perform IT regression testing.

Main Duties:

Automated in-house underwriting system regression test maintenance.
Automated in-house underwriting system regression test enhancement.
Test plan assistance to Business Analysts.
Application of agreed test plans using automated test tools.

Technical Skills:

Analysing business requirements, defining and recording testable requirements.
Liaising with business analysts and developers.
Scripting test cases to design step level.
Executing test scripts as per pre-defined test schedule.
Providing reports to Test Management including metrics on test progress, issues and risks in relation to assigned tasks.

Education and Qualifications:

Essential:

ISEB Foundation in Software Testing.

Relevant Experience:

Essential:

Experience in use of automated test tools, preferably by Compuware.
Experience of using defect tracking tools.

Desirable:

Some work experience in the financial services, preferably general insurance.

Specialist Training:

Training for Compuware testing products if successful candidate is experienced in using automated test tools by another software vendor.
