The Role:
The Online Campaign Executive’s role is crucial to ensuring the success of online campaigns from initial implementation through to final delivery. The role includes regular day to day communication with the Account Directors to ensure assigned campaigns obtain optimum performance; as well as working closely with other Campaign Mangers and Traffickers to avoid conflicts between campaigns. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Online Campaign Executive will be the main support to the sales team throughout the life cycle of a campaign.
Principal Duties:
To report to the Operations Manager on a weekly basis on campaign history, problems, potential solutions and expected performance.
To accurately communicate to the sales team inventory levels available for future campaigns; this will involve analysing many factors to ensure precision.
To implement campaigns according to clients’ requirements and manage assigned campaigns to ensure that they are optimized to reach and exceed any performance measures.
To test creative and code prior to setting them live, and to solve any creative problems that may arise; this will involve communicating with webmasters and members of the clients’ technical team.
To produce reports through out the duration of the campaign both for internal and external use. To proactively investigate issues (delivery discrepancies, billing disputes, technical issues, etc.) with clients, agencies, third-party platforms, and/or internal parties and provide resolutions to these issues.
To produce a final detailed internal and 3rd party report at the end of each campaign for the sales team and the client.
To communicate effectively with all departments and with external traffickers via e-mail, phone and meetings. To display control when handling difficult or confrontational situations.
To exhibit co-operative teamwork at all times and to be willing to help and support your colleagues both within the trafficking department and other departments.
To proactively gain knowledge and understanding of other 3rd party systems which are used by clients.
To show strong interpersonal skills when dealing with different departments and third parties.
Context of the Role The role may involve:
Occasional attendance at exhibitions and media functions to support the profile of the company and its network of online publisher. Willingness to occasionally cover for colleagues in periods of sickness or holiday; and to assist other departments in their duties. Travel to present at client meetings. These may take place outside normal working hours.
Experience and Skills Required:
This is an integral position within a fast-paced part of the business. It requires self-motivation, enthusiasm, resilience, flexibility and an ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
The position requires an analytical and logical thinker with the enthusiasm to meet problems head on and solve them accurately and quickly.
The successful applicant will be able to work both alone or as part of a team and respond to situations rapidly, whilst maintaining an attention to detail.
Knowledge of the online Media industry is preferred, together with web knowledge, adserver knowledge and computer literacy.
A working knowledge of Doubleclick’s adserving platform, DFP, is essential as well as a basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Excel and an understanding of Flash. Excellent analytical skills to enable optimum campaign performance.
Comprehensive knowledge, understanding and interest in the Internet and its role in advertising. Proven communication skills over the telephone and face-to-face.
Comfortable juggling multiple tasks; ability to prioritize responsibilities; excellent time management.
Pro-active, quick learner.
Ability to adapt to and operate effectively in fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
